STEP 1: Cleanse
It is important to consider when, how often and what type of face wash to use to effectively cleanse the skin. Always wash your face before bedtime and never skip the AM cleanse. Use lukewarm water to wash your face and do not turn the water temperature up too high – hot water is no friend to your skin! For oily and acne prone skin the best cleanser to use is a foaming cleanser to remove excess oil and dirt. Make sure to wash the T-zone and U-zone (around the jawline) as these areas tend to be oilier.
What to use: Foam Fighter – Foaming Face Wash
Daily foaming cleanser for gentle yet effective cleansing to remove impurities, surface oil and make-up. It is antibacterial and non-comedogenic.
STEP 2: Exfoliate
How often you exfoliate depends on your skin type. For oily and acne prone skin we recommend exfoliating 2 – 3 times a week. Do not over exfoliate your skin as it can lead to tiny micro tears, inflammation, and infection. Cleanse the skin first to remove dirt, oil, and unwanted debris. This will prepare the skin for more effective exfoliation and deeper cleanse.
What to use: Power Powder – Exfoliating Powder
Powder scrub that unclogs pores and refines the skin texture while reducing blackheads and blemishes. It is an oil-free formula that leaves the skin noticeably smoother, clearer, and more refined.
Power tip: Can leave the Power Powder to dry on the skin like a clay mask to draw out impurities from deep within your pores.
STEP 3: Tone
What is standing between you and clearer skin could be the absence of just one product! Toners are most helpful for oily and acne-prone skin. Use one wipe after cleansing the face, or during the day to remove excess dirt and oil.
What to use: Fresh Crusader – Toner Face Wipes
Toner wipes clears the skin and provides intensive cleaning for the T-zone and other problem areas. It helps to unclog the pores without over drying the skin and prevent blemishes.
STEP 4: Targeted Treatment
Apply the targeted treatment at night and by morning your breakout will be less noticeable. Apply a small amount of gel directly to a blemish with clean hands or an earbud.
What to use: Disappearing Act – Spot Control Gel
Targeted treatment that helps to unclog pores, visibly reduce blemishes, and helps prevent their re-appearance. It has been specially formulated to reduce the appearance of pimples, papules, pustules and help fade acne marks. Contains a unique blend of powerful ingredients that will help heal your skin quickly.
STEP 5: Moisturise
The best moisturiser for oily skin is lightweight, fast absorbing and mattifying to the skin. It is important to use a moisturiser with a broad-spectrum SPF during the day to protect your skin from the sun. One bad sunburn in your lifetime can increase your risk of developing sun damage later in life. Prevention is better than cure and your future self will thank you for being skin smart!
What to use AM: Control Freak – SPF30 Moisturiser
Provides weightless protection that helps keep your skin matte, reduce blemishes, soothes the skin, and protects against harmful UV rays from the sun. Reduces oil production without clogging pores leaving the skin noticeably clearer and smoother. Do not fall into the trap of not moisturizing because you think you do not need more hydration. Hydration is a key factor in normalizing the skin and balancing oil production.
What to use PM: Smart Hydrator – Repair Moisturiser
A moisturizer for acne prone skin that is intensively hydrating, non-sticky, soothes irritation and redness, and helps to regain control over demanding blemish-prone skin. Your skin will feel smooth and supple after the first application. The active ingredients seep deep into the skin to produce new healthier skin cells, rather than excess oils.
STEP 6: Lip Care
Apply a thick layer of lip balm in the evening before you go to bed for intensive moisturisation. Your luscious lips will thank you in the morning! The ideal lip balm should not be sticky and should provide the same smooth texture every time you apply it.
What to use: Smooth Operator – Lip Balm
A unisex lip balm to seal moisture in lips and protect them from external exposure. Dry air, cold temperatures, sun, and wind have a drying effect on our lips. A lip balm shields your lips from these elements and ensures that they remain kissable throughout the day.
STEP 7: Treatment from Inside
Using the correct skincare routine and supplement will leave your skin clearer and glowing from within! Your body needs a balanced supply of nutrients to stay health and your skin, which is the largest organ in the human body, is no different. A skin-friendly supplement helps to contribute to healthy skin and provides a 360-degree approach to skincare delivering targeted nutrients to the skin that we do not get in topical treatments and nourishing foods.
What to use: Vitality Champion – Skincare Supplement
Powerful supplement packed with skincare nutrients to reduce inflammation associated with acne and pimple-prone skin. The formulation targets the four main causes of problematic skin: excessive oiliness, inflammation, bacterial overgrowth, and poor skin health.
